Q:Hey .. I keep reading about FYS, but I don't know what that is? I feel dumb =/

Anonymous

Don’t feel dumb! There are LOTS of acronyms all around campus so sometimes it’s easy to not know. We’ve got you!

FYS stands for First Year Seminar. These classes are small sections (usually no more than 24 students) of first-years in a seminar setting. Discussion is key in these classes because of their small size. There are first year seminars in multiple departments.

Visit their website and view the brochure for more information including a list of course offerings.
